Cooper Wiring Devices is the newest division of Cooper Industries, but their roots can be traced back to the beginning of the electrical power industry. In 1891 Cooper Wiring Devices started manufacturing industrial wiring components as the Arrow Hart Company. Arrow then merged with the Eagle Electric Company in 1920 of which Cooper Wiring Devices was created.
